I've read on many hosting review sites about a number of hosts that disable high traffic or usage customers to save system resources. They figure it's worth getting rid of a customer once in a while so they can load more customers on the servers. Many web hosts sneak in wording into their terms of use and billing terms that they can disable you for any number of reasons. Once you're locked out - you're locked out. Always keep a backup of your database locally or have an automated script to do a backup to a remote server.
